Late in the summer, following the receipt, setup and preliminary configuration of all of the iPads, Hackley will host a series of “Distribution and Training” sessions for students. During these sessions students will have an opportunity to setup their iPad and download a few of the apps required for school. Students will then be asked to download additional, free apps prior to the start of school.
There are two requirements that must be met before a student attends a distribution session. These include the:
- Successful completion of the 2018 RUP/iPad Care Quiz!
- Creation of, and access to the Apple ID. This step is critical and cannot be skipped.
- Please pay close attention to the “What to Do…” section of our Apple ID page.
- If a student does not have a fully configured Apple ID, then the configuration needed at distribution will be very difficult, and likely take an extended period of time to complete.
Our iPad distribution sessions are scheduled for the following days and times:
- Tuesday, August 14, 2018, 9:00 a.m., Sternberg Library
- Tuesday, August 21, 2018, 3:00 p.m., Sternberg Library
- Thursday, August 23, 2018, 3:00 p.m., Sternberg Library
- Tuesday, August 28, 2018, 1:00 p.m., Sternberg Library (distribution begins immediately after the completion of the 9th grade orientation program.)
Sessions will run 90-120 minutes depending on the number of students and the time needed for downloading apps.
