The Hackley supplied iPad also includes 3-year AppleCare+ plan. AppleCare+ for iPad provides repair or replacement warranty coverage, both parts and labor, from Apple-authorized technicians.
The AppleCare+ plan also includes up to two incidents of accidental damage coverage. There is a $49.00 per incident deductible, paid by the parent, that will be required to facilitate a repair. To be clear, the plan will cover damages that result from an accident. We are not aware of any reasonable plan that will cover damages due to normal wear and tear, neglect, lack of care, or malicious intent.
Although the AppleCare+ plan is excellent, there are limitations to any plan. Hackley School invites all parents to consider the possibility of purchasing additional insurance through a third party provider. This would be an additional cost assumed by the family, and the final decision rests with the family. Please note that these 3rd party policies may also provide coverage for damage such as theft, fire, natural disaster, power surges, as well as other causes.
