Below is a list of 3rd party online learning resources currently being used in Hackley School Classrooms. The parenthesis to the right of the title indicates the Hackley division in which the web product or service is currently used.

Discovery Education (LS/MS/US)Discovery Education is an online video streaming service offering a breadth and depth of digital media content across grade levels and curricular areas. Our current practice dictates that our teachers manage this content for their students, bringing it to the classroom either in a presentation-style or through their class sites. We do not provide direct access to Discovery Education through the use of a unique login ID or password for students. Privacy Policy, Terms of Use

Follett Destiny (LS/MS/US)Destiny is our library management system, published by Follett Library Services. When searching or checking out a book, students can  access this database using the same UserID and password as they would when accessing HOL. Destiny does not collect any personally identifiable information other what it needs to complete a student’s search request, and to check out a book. This information remains with Hackley internally and is not shared outside of the school. Policies Page

GoogleAppsForEducationGoogle Apps for Education (LS/MS/US)Google Apps for Education is a suite of free, secure tools that includes Google Docs, Google Sheets, Google Slides, Google Forms, Google Sites, Hackley Gmail (US student eMail), Google Calendar, as well as other tools vetted and offered by Hackley School through the Google Apps environment. Hackley OnLine – HOL (LS/MS/US) – Published and supported by Veracross, we refer to this platform as HOL. Veracross is our student information system, (SIS). The SIS is the software platform that retains all student academic, attendance, and personal records and provides families with their student’s schedule, progress reports, report cards, required forms, and transcripts. HOL Classroom (LS/MS/US)Published by Schoology, we refer to this platform as HOL Classroom. The Schoology platform is our learning management system, (LMS). All information related to teaching and learning in the classroom is posted by teachers to this platform. LibGuides (MS/US) – LibGuides is a content management system used by our libraries to curate and organize our databases as well as share resource materials with students and teachers. Using single sign on technology, students login to this service using the same ID and password as they use for HOL and Destiny. Privacy Policy.

NoodleTools (MS/US) the NoodleTools service allows students to generate and save bibliographical information and reference citations during research projects. The tool is provided and supported by our libraries. Privacy Policy, Terms of Service

OverDrive (MS/US) – Overdrive is a leading full-service digital distributor of eBooks, audiobooks, music and video worldwide. Hackley has engaged OverDrive to supplement our library services. Using single sign on technology, students can easily login to this service using the same ID and password as they would use for either Destiny, HOL, or our library databases. ZOOM – a video conference tool that has offered its services free of charge for schools during closures caused by the COVID-19 outbreak. ZOOM has lifted the 40 minute limit to web-conferences as part of this offer. ZOOM for K-12 Schools Privacy Policy, Terms of Service
