Art of Problem Solving – A terrific clearinghouse for math problems of all types. Used in class and as homework to both teach and reinforce math concepts. Big Ideas Math – Hackley students taking Geometry will be using a free online textbooks called Big Ideas Math – Geometry. No sign-in is required. Privacy Policy, Terms of Use

Blooket is a new take on trivia and review games! The teacher/host picks a question set and a unique game mode. Then, Blooket generates a code that players can use to join the game on their own devices. After the game starts, players will answer questions to help them win. BrainPOP  – BrainPOP delivers animated curricular content that BrainPOPsupports learning across grade levels and curricular areas. Our current subscription also allows for “at home” access for Hackley families. All users share the same user ID and password. CANVA is a web tool which supports student work in designing presentations, graphics, posters, flyers, infographics, and much more. Canva includes thousands of beautiful layouts for students to use. Privacy Policy, Terms of Use

Desmos – Desmos wants to help every student learn math and love learning math. Desmos builds a best-in-class,” online, HTML5 graphing calculator, which is used by Hackley students as well as millions of students around the world. DroneBlocks – an education curriculum creating opportunities for students to learn Blockly, Python, Open-CV, Node.js, and JavaScript by coding autonomous missions in the classroom using the Tello drone. Students will use both an app and an online simulator. Privacy Policy, Terms of Service

EdPuzzle – A tool used by faculty to enhance their use of the flipped-classroom approach. Faculty can monitor student viewing and insert assessment questions throughout the presentation to monitor student learning. Privacy Policy, Terms of Service

Flipgrid  – a free website tool that allows teachers to create “grids” to facilitate video discussions. Each grid is like a message board where teachers can pose questions, called “topics,” and their students can post video responses that appear in a tiled grid display. Formative – Teachers use Formative to facilitate a flipped classroom model with videos, reading assignments, and written responses, or ask students to submit a video response to reflect about what they learned in class. Privacy Policy, Terms of Service

Fusion 360 – is a cloud-based 3D modeling, CAD, CAM, CAE, and PCB software platform for product design and manufacturing. Students use this platform to design and engineer products to ensure aesthetics, form, fit, and function. They will then, often, fabricate their designs in our makerspace. GeoGebra – mathematics software for all levels of education that brings together geometry, algebra, spreadsheets, graphing, statistics and calculus in one engine. Privacy Policy, Terms of Service

Gimkit is a classroom game-show platform where students compete by answering questions on their electronic devices. Instead of earning points, students earn virtual currency, which they can “invest” during the game to boost their score. Privacy Policy, Terms of Service

Kahoot! is a game-based learning platform that makes it easy to create, share and play learning games or trivia quizzes in minutes. Unleash the fun in classrooms, offices and living rooms! KaizenaA tool that integrates with Google and allows teachers to offer audio recordings as feedback to student’s work regarding their written work completed in Google Docs. We use the Kaizena add-on within our Google Suite, and therefore, students access Kaizena through Google rather than through a direct login to the site. Privacy Policy, Terms of Use 

KAMI – Kami is an edtech tool used to view and edit documents and PDF files. The web application offers easy-to-use and valuable tools to millions of educators and students needing a document and PDF solution. Khan Academy – Math – Khan Academy is a free online resource that allows students to learn anytime, anywhere, with material that is uniquely appropriate for them. Students can explore new topics across a variety of curricula and practice their skills by using interactive exercises, videos, and tutorials. LEGO Mindstorms EV3 is a programing platform used by students involved with our robotics club, and when studying robotics units in Science class. Legal Notices.

A favorite of parents and teachers, Math Playground provides a safe place for children to learn and explore math concepts at their own pace. MOTE allows teachers to easily add voice comments and audio content to documents, assignments, emails and forms. Creates a very effective method of providing feedback to students. QuizizzAllows teachers to create and conduct student-paced formative assessments in a fun and engaging way for students of all ages. It’s totally free for teachers so no license keys are needed to get started. Privacy Policy, Terms of Service

Quizlet is a web-based application developed to help students study information through interactive tools and games. SNAP! – Snap! is a visual computer programming language targeted mainly at users ages 12-20 and developed by the University of California – Berkeley. WeVideo – an online video creation and editing package. Using their own accounts and the camera affixed to their Chromebook, students can create video projects as part of their course work. Privacy Policy, Terms of Use

Wordwall takes vocabulary games and reviews into the digital world, and is easy to use for teachers and learners. Wordwall can be used to create both interactive and printable activities. Most of the templates are available in both an interactive and a printable version. Interactives are played on any web-enabled device, like a computer, tablet, phone or interactive whiteboard.
