New Software Titles Added During the
COVID-19 Closure

Below is a list of tools we have added to our already extensive collective “toolbox” to support online teaching and learning while the school buildings are closed. Further updates may be coming, so feel free to re-visit this page periodically.

Flipgrid  – a free website tool that allows teachers to create “grids” to facilitate video discussions. Each grid is like a message board where teachers can pose questions, called “topics,” and their students can post video responses that appear in a tiled grid display. Google Hangouts Meet – A great video conferencing option for those looking to create an ad hoc meeting. This tool will be used to connect with parents, and with upper school students (only). Goosechase – A fun tool teachers can use to organize scavenger hunts for students. Currently they are offering free Educator Plus licensing during the COVID-19 crisis.  This tool will only be used with upper school students. Privacy Policy, Terms of Service

IXL Learning – Math  – **What’s NEW?** – our licensing has been expanded to include Social Studies, Science, and Spanish. Newsela – Takes authentic content from the world’s most trusted providers and turn it into learning materials that are classroom-ready. Students engage with thousands of texts on topics they care about most, that have been edited to their reading level which are aligned with standards that support ELA instruction. QuizizzAllows teachers to create and conduct student-paced formative assessments in a fun and engaging way for students of all ages. It’s totally free for teachers so no license keys are needed to get started. Privacy Policy, Terms of Service
